Industry & Transport Sustainability
The Industry and Transport division provides lightweight composites for the transportation, marine, & furniture sectors as well as the general construction market. Using lightweight materials reduces carbon dioxide emissions due to efficient fuel consumption. During the production process of many of our products, we capture and regrind scrap material for production reentry to decrease landfill waste and reduce the input of virgin grade raw materials. For several of our wood-based products, we endeavor to practice sustainable sourcing of raw materials and offer Forest Stewardship Council® Certified materials upon request (FSC®- C074317), as well as GREENGUARD Gold Certified products.
ALUCOBOND® PLUS aluminum composite panel is comprised of two sheets of smooth .020" aluminum thermobonded to a solid, fire-retardant core.
- Zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted in use.

DIBOND® is comprised of two pre-painted sheets of .012" aluminum bonded to a solid polyethylene core or a fire-retardant (FR) core in a continuous extrusion process. Manufactured by 3A Composites GmbH.

FOME-COR® Weather Barrier Board is comprised of 1/4" polystyrene 'accordion-folded' foam board with high-performance natural kraft liners on both sides. Made in the USA.
- No formaldehyde is added to the product during the manufacturing process; tested to ASTM E1333-96.
- Utilizes post-industrial recycled foam and liner board that is purchased from vendors with Sustainable Forestry Initiative certification (SFI-02010).

All paper is purchased from paper suppliers that participate in either the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) or Forestry Stewardship Council® (FSC®). Both organizations have developed standards designed to improve the sustainability practice of forestry.
GATORPLY® - Green Gator is manufactured with an alternative resin system that does not require the addition of formaldehyde. It's been designed to meet industry green initiatives for improved indoor air quality. GATOR-PLY Green Gator-Backer TM, GATOR-PLY® HP, and GATOR-FLEX TM are GREENGUARD Gold Certified, which means they are in compliance with the stringent emission guidelines set by GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI).
- Paper received from supplier is composed of about 21% of secondary material - sawmill residue - repurposed to go into the paper instead of ending up in landfills or being burned.
- Supplier also recycles any "broke" material that is generated during the production process to go back into the fiber stream for future production.
