Dibond Is The Go-To Material For Medical Teaching Tool

The team has been tasked with creating medical signage for several specialty medical fields in addition to physical therapy to include dentists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists, and gynecologists.

Starting with a regular 4 by 8 foot sheet of Dibond, the team cut the material into ten 12 by 16 inch sections. From there they created 3 variations of 3D raised anatomy boards: The Skeletal System, The Spinal System, and The Muscular System. Additionally, a large-scale one-dimensional version was created for each anatomical variation.

The outcome offers medical offices a tool to give their patients a vivid picture of what is to be expected from their procedures. The detailed anatomy boards are also used as a teaching tool in nursing schools and science and biology courses.

Imaging Revolution boasts innovative printing techniques on various flat surfaces to include tile, glass, plastic, aluminum, and even marble. Dibond aluminum proves to be the printing company’s preferred material to use for signage, wall panels, and metallic photo prints, “In our opinion there isn’t a choice that better suits our needs like Dibond aluminum composites do.”

Before the colorful graphics are applied to the aluminum boards, the team pre-coats one side of the material with a white primer. The surface is then cleaned with denaturalized alcohol. It is a relatively simple process before the aluminum is ready to be loaded onto the flatbed UV printer. For larger projects, the team will utilize a laser cutter, but due to the lightweight of the aluminum a box cutter can be used. The last step is just smoothing the edges before wrapping up the project for delivery.

Dibond is the first recommendation by Imaging Revolution when collaborating with clients, contractors, photographers, and artists. The CEO of Imaging Revolution, Roberto Honovich, has even created an exhibit called “Psychoerotika” showcasing the many artistic applications of Dibond aluminum composite.
