Datum representatives further describe, “With works scheduled to last for live years, the cathedral needed a hoarding solution that would not only stand the test of time but also be sympathetic to the unique environment of the cathedral and its expansive ground.”

The hoarding solution had a series of requirements where it needed to protect the constructed areas while under repair, but also still showcased the beauty of the site to not accommodate the nearly 1 million visitors it sees annually.

For the hoarding substrate, the designers chose Dibond aluminum composite materials, explaining, “We were tasked with producing and installing 300 Dibond panels in just 10 days. These needed to be of a high quality to stand the test of time as well as ensuring that reflected the significance of the building.”
